Applications of Caustic Soda

1. Paper making: Caustic Soda Flakes is used for delignification, and fibers can only be obtained by removing lignin from the wood. Adding Caustic Soda Flakes solution can dissolve and separate non cellulose components, resulting in the production of pulp with cellulose as the main component.
2. Refined petroleum: After being washed with sulfuric acid, petroleum products still contain some acidic substances that must be washed with Caustic Soda Flakes solution and then washed with water to obtain refined products.
3. Textile: cotton and linen fabrics are treated with concentrated Caustic Soda Flakes solution to improve fiber performance. Artificial fibers, such as artificial cotton, artificial wool, rayon, etc., are mostly viscose fibers. They are made from cellulose (such as paper pulp), flake alkali, Carbon disulfide (CS2) as raw materials, which are made into viscose liquid, sprayed and coagulated.
4. Printing and dyeing: Cotton fabrics treated with Caustic Soda Flakes solution can remove wax, oil, starch, and other substances covering the cotton fabric, while increasing the mercerizing color of the fabric and making the dyeing more uniform.
